Mass Spectrometer
From a family of triple quadrupole analyzers, the API 5000 LC/MS/MS System features a sensitive and accurate mass spectrometer for small molecule quantification, which is essential for Drug Metabolism And Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) and Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, Toxicity (ADMET) studies. The system achieves an average nine-fold increase in sensitivity and four-fold improvement in signal-to-noise ratio over other commercially available systems. Improved sensitivity increases the ability to assay a drug candidate, its metabolites or contaminants. The system also features an innovative QJet ion guide, which captures more ions and focuses the ion beam with high efficiency for improving ion transmission. This combination permits the use of smaller sample sizes.
