Resequencing System
VariantSEQr™ Resequencing System from Applied Biosystems provides everything needed for resequencing: validated PCR primer sets, universal protocols for PCR and PCR clean-up, sequencing and sequencing clean-up, and reference sequences included in the Project Template for data analysis with SeqScape® v2.1 Software. An extensive validation process, which includes laboratory tests and proprietary computational analysis, produces three RSA confidence values (H2, H1 and M) that reflect the quality of data that can be expected from each PCR primer pair. These primer pairs enable resequencing of genes of interest with quality, reproducible data. SeqScape v2.1 integrates base calling, sequence assembly, sequence alignment, SNP calling, and mutation report generation all in one package. A Project Template containing the reference sequence for all regions of the gene target is provided. Resequencing sets are available for thousands of genes implicated in cancer and other complex diseases, and the list of genes is continually being expanded, based on user feedback.
