ProSwift Monolith ion exchange columns ProSwift SAX-1S and WCX-1S are offered for protein separations. The columns combine the resolving power of nonporous media with the capacity of conventional porous media. Low backpressure allows use of high flow rates for fast separations. The columns contain a unique monolith — a single cylindrical polymeric rod. The structure is an uninterrupted, interconnected network of channels and pores of controlled sizes. These large flow-through channels and pores allow large biomolecules to achieve fast mass transfer. Both columns are available in 4.6 × 50 mm PEEK format.
