VECTASHIELD® Hard-Set™ Mounting Medium, for fluorescently stained tissue sections and cells, provides protection from photobleaching and fading, with the additional benefit of hardening. Handling and storage of mounted sections is easy, and sealing of coverslips is not required. Coverslips may be removed from mounted sections with buffer, even after prolonged storage. The medium prevents rapid photobleaching of most fluorophores including fluorescein, rhodamine, Texas Red®, Cy3™, and Alexa Fluor® 488 and 594, and preserves fluorescence for weeks.© 2008 Advantage Business Media.
