Absolute Particle Sizing
The Wyatt Technology Corporation Eclipse particle fractionator separates particles in a heterogeneous sample, and measures the scattered light from each fraction (over a broad range of scattering angles). Utilizing this technology, Wyatt's DAWN EOS detectors produce cumulative and differential number fractions without any additional detectors. This integrated system can be used for determining the absolute size distributions of emulsions, liposomes, latex particles, etc., with resolution frequently better than one nanometer.
