Expression Profiling Service
New expression profiling service from Qbiogene's MERLIN Custom Services Division aids researchers studying the functional genomics or organisms for which little or no prior sequencing information is available. A PCR-based technique, the displayPROFILE™ Custom Expression Profiling Service produces profiling data and plasmid DNA stocks of cloned fragments from RNA samples provided by the researcher. The service is also a tool for the discovery of unknown genes from organisms where sequence information is available. The differently expressed genes identified using displayPROFILE techniques can serve as the basis for downstream, high-throughput analysis and the subsequent development of microarray-based experiments. Profiling data is provided electronically and then followed by plasmid DNA stocks of cloned fragments. To further assist those working with human, rat, mouse, yeast or E. coli, a companion Website, www.displayfit.com, helps narrow down possible identities for any given fragment that appears in the data.
