TR-FRET Kinase Assays
The LanthaScreen assay platform is a time-resolved, resonance energy transfer (TR-FRET) detection technology used for high-throughput detection of kinases in drug discovery research, and measures protein-protein, protein-peptide, and DNA-protein interactions. Eliminating false positives in compound screening through time-resolved fluorescence technology will save time in identifying potential research targets. Part of a complete line of biochemical and cell-based assays for target detection, these TR-FRET kinase assays are offered for screening compound libraries with background fluorescence problems. The platform applies a terbium chelate donor molecule to a phosphotyrosine or phosphoserine-specific antibody. Competition for binding of the antibody to a phosphorylated substrate, or a fluorescein-labeled phosphopeptide tracer, is the basis for the assay format.
