IEF Fractionation System
Solution phase isoelectric focusing with the ZOOM™ IEF Fractionator provides reproducible separations in three hours-with fractionated samples ready for further analysis by two dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DE), one dimensional gel electrophoresis (1DE), or two dimensional liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (2D LC/MS. The complete system consists of the ZOOM IEF Fractionator device, which features a durable, leak proof, CE certified design, ZOOM Disks and ZOOM Reagents. ZOOM Disks are pre-cast polyacrylamide gels that resolve samples into five equal fractions anywhere from pH 3 to pH 10. The disks are buffered, pre-labeled, disposable and designed for single-use. ZOOM Reagents are proteomic grade. IEF Fractionator was in part developed pursuant to a license from The Wistar Institute of Anatomy and Biology, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
