PCR System, Reagent Mix
PicoMaxx high fidelity PCR system is formulated with a blend of Taq and Pfu DNA polymerases and ArchaeMaxx polymerase-enhancing factor. Along with an optimized buffer, this formulation enables the detection of low-copy-number targets in complex DNA backgrounds, providing sensitivity. The ArchaeMaxx factor in the PicoMaxx PCR system functions as a dUTPase, converting dUTP to dUMP and thereby overcoming PCR poisoning. This maximizes the performance of the proofreading component of the blend, allowing reliable and efficient amplification across a wide range of targets up to 10 kb. The system is formulated with antibodies that inhibit polymerase activity until cycling begins, promoting high-specificity and reducing background. This formulation is ideal for high-throughput, multi-target amplification experiments without requiring optimization solutions or protein enhancers that can decrease PCR efficiency. Low-copy-number targets are detected in complex DNA backgrounds.
