Mini Plasmid Prep Kit
The 6 Minute UltraClean™ Mini Plasmid Prep Kit is based on alkaline lysis with a specially developed neutralizer that condenses the SDS precipitate into a tight pellet; filtering is unnecessary. The plasmid DNA is then bound directly to a unique silica membrane spin-filter, washed once, and pure plasmid DNA is recovered in water or Tris. All reagents are completely prepared, including the ethanol in the wash, so no preliminary preparation steps are required. DNA quality and purity is equal to cesium chloride or anion exchange methods. Typical A260/A280 ratios are 1.8-2.0. Yield is 100% of the plasmid contained in a 1-2 ml culture.
