QuantiTect Multiplex RT-PCR Kits provide reliable quantitation of up to four RNA targets in a tube or well without optimization steps. Designed for gene expression analysis, the kits provide accurate quantification of the expression of target and control genes. Pre-optimized master mix and protocols eliminate the need to adjust reaction and cycling conditions. Components of the master mix promote stable and efficient primer annealing, prevent the formation of nonspecific products and primer dimers in every PCR cycle, and allow cDNA synthesis from a range of RNA template amounts. Good results are achieved even in multiplex reactions to quantify transcripts that differ greatly in abundance. Target genes and the endogenous control are co-amplified with similar efficiencies to ensure precise relative quantification. Low-abundance transcripts can be quantified, with detection of as few as 10 copies possible. The kits are compatible with available real-time cyclers and with dual-labeled probes, such as TaqMan probes and QuantiProbes.
