Automated Sample Preparation

BioSprint workstations and kits prepare samples for use in a wide range of applications. Using magnetic-particle technology, BioSprint workstations automate the simultaneous preparation of up to 15 or 96 samples. The first kit available in what will be an expanding range enables purification of genomic DNA from cells, tissue, and blood. Two workstations with different throughputs are available: BioSprint 15 and BioSprint 96 process, respectively, 1-15 or 1-96 samples per run. Since the workstations transfer magnetic particles instead of liquids, they use minimal amounts of reagent and provide cost-efficiencies. With small footprint, the workstations are easy to install and come with protocols that enable sample preparation using BioSprint Kits. Users can write proprietary protocols using BioSprint software. BioSprint Kits will be introduced for use with different sample types and for purification of different types of target molecules. The first kit available is the BioSprint DNA Blood Kit, which enables purification of genomic DNA from cells, tissue, and blood. Kits for other sample preparation procedures, such as purification of RNA, mRNA, and protein will be available soon.
