TURBO DNase, an engineered version of wild-type DNase I, has markedly increased affinity for DNA. This is important for complete removal of DNA from a sample, since the concentration of the cleavable substrate is reduced as the DNase digestion progresses. TURBO DNase has a functional advantage over wild-type DNase in RT-PCR applications, where even a few copies of DNA can lead to a false outcome by PCR.© 2008 Advantage Business Media.
