DNA Polymerase
Restorase DNA polymerase combines long enzyme with a small amount of a unique DNA repair additive. The optimized blend will initiate the repair and further amplification of damaged DNA templates greater that 800 bp. DNA can be damaged in a number of ways, including improper storage/handling, aging, or exposure to acid, heat, or light. This damage blocks the progression of DNA amplification (PCR). Restorase enables researchers to work with damaged templates that would otherwise be abandoned. It also increases yield on undamaged templates.
