Lasergene 7.1 (DNASTAR, Inc., Madison, WI) expands the capabilities of this sequence analysis software by introducing SeqMan Pro, an assembly engine built to assemble large projects (up to 1 million sequences) and also built to work well with 454 and other pyrosequencing data. In addition, the software runs natively on Windows, Mac PowerPC chips and Mac Intel chips. The package has broadly expanded capability to do a batch import of Vector NTI files retaining key feature formatting from legacy Vector NTI files. A new licensing option is offered for customers with large networks who prefer to use KeyServer from Sassafras instead of the standard network licensing tool.
