Plate Image Acquisition
VayTek's most recent product is for well plate scanning (24, 48, 96, 384, 1536 wells and custom sizes). PlateScan is fully integrated into VolumeScan. It includes autofocus, montaging for higher magnification lenses, single image composites of z scans using an extended depth of field algorithm (used for looking at thick specimens), multiple well naming schemes, cell counting, time lapse, and a variety of other features for complex image acquisition. PlateScan can be used with both fluorescent and brightfield, transmitted light microscopes. It runs on PC computers with Windows 2000 or Windows XP and can be retrofitted to most existing microscopes with and xy stage.
