Positron Detection

Posi-RAM Model 3 is a small, complete continuous-flow detector for positron emitters. The analytical positron counter incorporates two BGO crystal/photomultiplier detectors operating in coincidence. Noise and detector backgrounds are virtually eliminated, resulting in system background of <20 cpm. Narrow detector spacing and <0.2 thick cells result in high geometrical efficiency.
