Automated MALDI Plate Spotter
Accuspot MALDI plate spotter automates LC micro-fractionation, spotting and preparation for mass spec analysis. Used in tandem with any HPLC system for proteome analysis, the system enables spotting in volumes of 10 nl or more on up to nine multiple-well plates in 96 or 384-well format, or on 18 2ࡨ format plates. Spotting can be performed in continuous or time-specific mode. The instrument features automatic addition of matrix solution, which can be applied at a variable rate between 0.1 μl and 10 μl/min, and a standard CCD camera that continuously monitors the spotting operation. Plate damage is prevented, and cross-contamination eliminated, through the use of a "half-contact spotting method" that utilizes plate sensors and comprehensive status display of operating conditions.
