Thermal Melt Analysis System
Thermal Melt Analysis System, for use with proprietary UV-Vis spectrophotometers, monitors nucleic acid dissociation as temperature is raised, measures absorbance changes at user-specified wavelengths, and determines the melting temperature at which half of the double-stranded form separates. Thermodynamic parameters obtained enable the prediction of thermal stability and structure of nucleic acids, target validation by antisense and antigen methods, as well as the analysis and optimization of techniques based on hybridization phenomena. Capable of simultaneous measurement of up to eight samples with path lengths from 1 to 10 mm, the Tm Analysis System allows parallel analysis as well as high throughput screening of sequences. Temperature control ranges from 0 to 100 C with a 12-step rate change of 0.1 to 5 C per minute. A dedicated 32-bit software for Windows enables parameter setup, real-time monitoring, Tm analysis, and output to be performed seamlessly. The software supports multi-wavelength measurement, multi-step temperature programming, continuous/step temperature scanning, and more.
