HUMAN WIP-1 MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY
Wip-1 is a serine/threonine phosphatase that is a transcriptional target of p53 and is implicated in cell cycle control, spermatogenesis, and lymphoid cell function. Wip-1 mRNA is rapidly induced in response to DNA damage and the protein localizes to the nucleus where Wip-1 directly inhibits phosphorylation the p38 mitogen-activated (MAP) kinase protein. Wip-1 null mice have increased susceptibility to pathogens and reduced male fertility and longevity. The antibody is qualified for use in immunohistochemistry (see figure), Western and ELISA.
