Modular Benchtop Fermentor
The Biostat® i modular bioprocess system is comprised of the Biostat i twin controller; the Biostat i interface; and either stirred tank or spinner flask culture vessels. The Biostat i twin controller allows two vessels to be controlled simultaneously. If configured for one vessel, the system can be upgraded later to control two vessels. The Biostat i interface is the connection between the twin controller and the vessels. The interface is capable of housing rotameters, gasmixing solenoid valves, motor controllers, massflow controller and pumps, for up to two vessels. Each half of the Biostat i interface supports up to three built-in peristaltic pumps and one variable speed pump for each vessel. Integrated measurement amplifiers are provided for temperature, pH, pO2, and foam for each vessel. Probe connections for temperature, pH, pO2, and foam/level are located on the controller's front panel for easy access.
