MIRAX SCAN fully automated digital histology system facilitates the process of assessing pathological specimens in clinical laboratories. An automated scanner produces a high-resolution, digitized data set (digital slide) of the specimen, providing pathologists with diagnoses and reports that can be performed at the computer. Several samples can be viewed and compared simultaneously. Network connectivity permits access to data from several users in different locations, thus enabling a second opinion to be obtained quickly. The system can process 300 slides in one batch without user intervention. Digitization takes from 5 to 20 minutes depending on the size of the section. A high-resolution monitor provides the same field of view as the microscope.
