The FDSS7000 addition to the FDSS series line-up for cell-based assays using various fluorescence probes offers a 1536 dispenser with
disposable tips, automatic tip loading, and a multi-washing unit
equipped with ultrasound for maximal washing efficiency. FDSS series
imaging-based plate readers use xenon lamps for extended excitation range such as UV wavelengths. For example the ratiometric UV dye Fura-2 AM is used to identify compounds that either quench signal or are fluorescent using Fluo-4 AM excited at 480 nm. Further, multiplexed calcium mobilization and membrane potential responses are simultaneously collected in the same cells using Fura-2 AM and membrane potential dyes. Cell plate shaking, heated dispenser, integrated stacker, and extensive data analysis capabilities are available for both the FDSS 7000 and 6000. Taken together, the new features increase system productivity in automated environments.
