New polypropylene Versa Vial, a 12 × 32 mm, 1.5 ml capacity vial, is part of a line that includes versions with a patented Snap Seal finish, an 11 mm crimp finish, as well as 8-425 and 9 mm screw thread finishes. The new design accommodates a variety of sealing methods, such as a PTFE/silicone plug, chlorobutyl/siliconized plug, PTFE/silicone plug with a slit, or a polyethylene (PE) plug. When used with these plugs, the design eliminates problems generally associated with crimping and decapping, such as cracked necks and dangerous sharp edges from aluminum seals. This vial can be used in robotic arm equipment, is resistant to most solvents, and is also available in amber.
