Microcentrifuge System
The EZ-8 sample handling system includes EZ-8 strip tubes and the EZ-8 Microcentrifuge. The strip tube consists of eight 1.5 ml tubes in a strip format for easier handling and manipulation. The one-piece cap seals each tube individually and will not open during heating. A large writing surface is located on the cap's surface. They are compatible multichannel pipettes. The microcentrifuge features a rotor that will accommodate four of the strip tubes. This variable speed centrifuge reaches a maximum of 12,500 rpm/14, 219 × g. Strips fit into the centrifuge only one way, ensuring that pellets form in approximately the same place each time. The centrifuge is also supplied with adapters for 0.2 ml strip tubes. An optional rotor for standard 1.5 ml tubes is also available.
