PID Temperature Controllers
TCAT-2 general-purpose PID autotuning temperature controllers, when combined with a proprietary heat lamp or heating plate, may be used to maintain the body temperature of anesthetized animals during surgery or stereotaxic procedures. Several versions of the TCAT controller are offered diverse laboratory applications. All controllers may be used with any of the proprietary Type T thermocouple probes that act as the temperature feedback sensor, and all instruments operate on a 110- or 230-V AC supply. An optional infrared heat lamp is available, which is supplied with a 250-W infrared bulb and a built-in reflector. A direct current heating plate for small rodents (mice and rats) is also available for maintaining body temperature of anesthetized animals during surgery or stereotaxic procedures.
