384-Well DNA Binding Filter Plates
Easy to automate method for PCR purification using the Whatman 384-Well DNA Binding microplate. The plate contains a membrane engineered for the high throughput preparation of double-stranded DNA. The protocol for PCR Cleanup incorporates a high efficiency bind wash-elute process with collection by filtration that simplifies automation and eliminates cross contamination. The method can be used to purify DNA fragments from 100 bp - 10 kb with recovery greater than 85%. Results are reproducible, yields are up to 7 μl/well with an OD260/280 greater than 1.8, and concentrations are as high as 0.5 μg/μl.
