Pressure Controlled Ventilator
RSP1002 Pressure Controlled Ventilator, an MRI compatible ventilator for animals ranging from mice to cats, is designed with the same features as human ventilators. It delivers correct tidal volume, never over-pressurizing the lungs, and provides gentle physiologic artificial ventilation. Operating modes include constant pressure with timed ventilation, or constant volume with timed ventilation. Additional capabilities include respiratory assistance and sigh breath administration. The ventilator covers a range of tidal volumes from 0 to 300 ml and a maximum respiration rate setting of 200 bpm. The controls can be preset or adjusted as needed and large LED displays show the respiration rate and the inspiratory pressure. The unit accepts gas mixtures and non-flammable anesthetics. The pressure signal is an analog output, and external signals, such as nerve activity, muscle contractions or a computer, can trigger an inspiration cycle.
