Orange Fluorescent Protein
CoralHue Kusabira Orange, a true orange fluorescent protein, is isolated from the stony coral Fungia concinna, and absorbs light maximally at 548 nm and emits orange light at 561 nm. Wild-type CoralHue KO matures rapidly to form a fluorescent dimeric complex. Suitable for identifying subcellular structures in multi-color labeling applications, it can be used to mark cells or to report gene expression without problems stemming from protein aggregation. KO is also available as a monomer for fusion protein studies or FRET analysis. Available as a lyophilized solid, the product is reconstituted with distilled water or TE before use.
