Apogent Discoveries MicroSpot™ C ceramic pins make it easier to print quality microarrays. The ceramic pins are used with the MicroGrid™ arrayer to provide improved spot morphology, up to 5 times more spots per source visit, and require no pre-blotting. With a fully enclosed capillary, the ceramic pins reduce sample evaporation, and improve throughput. The pins are suitable for printing proteins, amino acids, peptides, oligos, and nucleic acids. Precise manufacturing eliminates pin-to-pin and batch-to-batch variability, and ensures spot to spot repeatability. In QC testing, the pins have held up to over 1 million hits against a glass slides with no detectable deformation to the tip or degradation of spot morphology.
