Available features include manual or motorized adjustment of incline and optional airtight runways for metabolic studies. A continuous conveyor type belt and DC servo motor with optical encoder allow control of user selected speed from 0 to 100 meters per minute. Several features assist in animal acclimation time. The front of the treadmill is a dark acrylic that the animals find comforting, and independent grids are built into each channel to shorten training time.
