Offered for the rapid purification of proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and other biomolecules, the 2D ElectroPrep dialysis tank can, in three minutes, dialyze a sample simultaneously into multiple MWCO fractions. Alternatively, the system can be run as 2D electrodialysis/electrophoresis. A broad range of membranes are supported. Membranes with molecular weight cut offs of :1K, 2K, 5K, 10K, 25K, 50K, 100K, 500K, 800K, 1.1M and 2.5M are available. Run-times are 5 to 10 minutes, even at the very low currents (5 to 10 mA) used with the system. Sample chambers are made of Teflon, a completely inert material especially suited for high sample recovery. Membranes of different MWCO are available from 100 to 300,000 Daltons and can be used for selective elution, filtration, dialysis, fractionation and concentration.
