Waters Corporation has announced the availability of VanGuard Pre-Columns specifically to protect the company’s UPLC columns from chemical and particulate contamination. The pre-columns are offered for routine use at pressures up to 15,000 psi (1.000 bar) and in applications that are run on Water’s ACQUITY UltraPerformance liquid chromatography system. An ultra-low volume design protects UPLC column performance. The first VanGuard Pre-Columns are available with 1.7 μm ACQUITY UPLC BEH C 18 chemistry; additional columns will be introduced this year.
