Waters® Corporation now offers the ProteinLynx™ Global SERVER 2.0 suite on the new IBM® eServer pSeries 630. The IBM eServer is equipped with the game-changing IBM POWER4 microprocessors, the first "server on a chip," containing two one-gigahertz processors and self-healing technologies to guard against and recover from system failure. Designed to run Linux and AIX operating systems, this system complements Waters software and is an ideal platform on which to run proteomics applications.

The IBM eServer p630 increases the range of manageable and scalable platforms for Waters leading proteomics solutions. With the addition of the IBM eServer p630 running AIX, Waters customers may seamlessly scale their applications from small work groups across the entire enterprise, while keeping to a single system architecture. The combination of ProteinLynx Global SERVER 2.0 and IBM's entry server provides customers with a highly reliable and affordable e-business platform.
