The release of the XE module for ActivityBase offers screening scientists a single environment for data capture, visualization, verification, quality control and storage. Independence from third-party spreadsheet packages enables XE to rapidly return results calculations. The use of open standard architecture (XML) provides calculations free of proprietary formats. ActivityBase is a suite of discovery experiment management applications that enable scientists to capture, manage and the data, from structure registration, to screening, to dose response, to behavioral studies. The single, integrated discovery informatics framework brings together biological data and chemical information. Data from various therapeutic and project areas can be organized in a work space that makes it easy to identify structure activity relationships and speed up decision-making processes. ActivityBase integrates with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, and with Oracle. Consistent with today's regulated environment, the software also provides a configurable, defensible audit trail.
