Mammalian cell-line management system Clone^Select is a microplate-based system that integrates confluence determination, expansion, stratification and cherry picking with automated plate tracking and data management. The system incorporates image analysis for fully automated confluence determination, and on-board liquid handling capable of executing all steps of the cell dissociation process, including media changing for suspended cells and sub-cloning with trypsinization for adherent cells. Filtered tips provide recovery, re-suspension and seeding into a new plate. An integrated bar code reader enables the tracking of source, replicate and subsequent daughter plates. All data generated by the system is compatible with common LIMS systems. The system can handle 1-, 6-, 24- and 96-well plate formats.
