Application note discusses the enantioresolution of N-protected chiral amino acids. A number of derivatization reagents developed over the past two decades have enabled researchers to improve not only the capabilities for resolving amino acids, but also to greatly extend the detection limits as well. Derivatization is usually performed by reaction at the amino function, and referred to as "N-protection".
