Beckman Coulter is integrating Motoman industrial robot arms with the company’s automated liquid handling systems, providing drug discovery/screening and sample prep users with an option for ultra-high throughput. The Motoman robot will join Beckman Coulter’s own ORCA and Robotic Transport (BRT) offerings to provide a choice of products for automation scalability. As the newest entry in Beckman Coulter’s third-party integration program, the Motoman robot, rail setup and software controls will be optimized for use with Biomek FX or NX automated liquid handling systems. These integrated systems include scheduling software, liquid handlers and a variety of peripherals, such as readers and incubators.
