Vector NTI Advance(tm), built on InforMax Incorporated's Vector NTI Suite 7 platform, is an integrated desktop bioinformatics application suite for DNA and protein sequence analysis and molecular biology data management. Vector NTI Advance includes GenomBench(tm), a new module for the import, analysis, annotation, and storage of reference genomic sequence information. GenomBench provides seamless access from desktop computers to the public Distributed Annotation System (DAS) servers that store the latest assemblies of human and mouse genomes. Using other modules, researchers can combine proprietary transcript data with public reference genome data to expand their understanding of the function of specific regions of the genome. Vector NTI Advance contains over 100 enhancements developed to accommodate new informatics workflows. Users can construct megabase-sized DNA assemblies using the ContigExpress(tm) module, design PCR primers to amplify long DNA sequences, or map protein sequences using locally stored protein motif databases.
