Sterivex™ pressure-driven sterile filtration units clarify and sterile filter liquids into virtually any storage container. As a result, they eliminate the risk of contamination associated with decanting or pipetting. They are typically used to sterilize tissue culture media, media additives and buffers. They are available with three different membranes and can process volumes up to 1,000 ml or 2,000 ml depending on the type of membrane used. Express® (PES) membranes provide fast flow and low protein binding for sterilization of aqueous solutions. Durapore® (PVDF) membrane units feature low protein binding for sterilization or clarification of aqueous solutions. Mixed esters of cellulose membrane are designed for general sterilization of aqueous solutions.
