BioFlo® 410 benchtop microbial fermentors are available in 7, 14 and 20-liter volumes and can be sterilized-in-place, eliminating the need to transport heavily-loaded vessels to and from the autoclave. Designed for rapid temperature increases for both sterilization and heat inductions, without the need for and external steam source, the units can be charged with media, sterilized, and inoculated, before the autoclave has a chance to cool. Advanced control capabilities are provided via New Brunswick Scientific's ML-6100 controller. Using a large color touch-screen interface, operators can easily view and change process control parameters, develop complex cascades, define pump assignments, and initiate an automatic sterilization cycle. Standard features include magnetic drive, automatic sterilization, automatic temperature control, automatic agitation control, 4 fixed-speed pumps, and manual aeration via rotometer and ring sparger. Options include pH/DO probes, thermal mass flow controller, oxygen supplementation, and foam/level control.
